Pooja Kakadiya didn't set out to build a snack brand.

She set out to pack a good tiffin.

Pooja has always been the kind of mom who'd rather cook something wholesome than tear open a packet. At home, that meant crispy dosa paper — made fresh, made often, and made with ingredients she could name without reading a label.

Then one ordinary morning, a few of those dosa papers went to school in her son's tiffin box.

That afternoon, her phone rang. It was his friend's mom, asking where that dosa paper came from — and whether she could get some. Before Pooja had put the phone down, it rang again. This time it was the teacher. (Most tiffin boxes come home with a note about unfinished lunch. Hers came home with orders.)

Pooja said yes before she'd quite worked out what she was saying yes to. That was the first order. Then came another. And another.

Somewhere between the kitchen and the next phone call, she noticed something bigger. People didn't just want snacks — they wanted snacks they could trust. Food they'd happily hand to their own kids, without squinting at a list of ingredients they couldn't pronounce.

So she made herself a simple promise: food that's genuinely healthy, ingredients told honestly, a taste worth licking your fingers for — at a price every family can afford.

What started as one kitchen experiment is now Chatkaaro — still hers, still hands-on, still Surat.
